Pune (Maharashtra) [India], March 06, 2026: In a landmark achievement coinciding with National Science Day, the ASM Group of Institutes set a New World Record for conducting the “Largest Multi-Campus AI Skill Workshops Across Multiple Venues.” The record was formally recognized by World Records India during a grand finale ceremony that marked the conclusion of the three-week ASM AI Fest 2026.

The ceremony was attended by ASM Chairman Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Trustee Dr. Priti Pachpande, and World Records India official Pavan Solanki. This historic achievement recognized an unprecedented, coordinated Artificial Intelligence training drive that was conducted across ASM campuses from February 9 to 28, 2026.

A Massive Scale of Institutional Transformation

The initiative represented a strategic shift from merely discussing AI to actively institutionalizing it across every level of the academic ecosystem. According to the official ASM AI Fest 2026 Impact Report, the scale of the drive included:

  • Over 150 physical AI workshops conducted across multiple campuses
  • Structured AI training delivered to 6,400 students and staff
  • Participation of more than 2,000 competitors across 54 AI competitions and challenges
  • Mentorship and guidance from over 120 AI experts

Visionary Leadership and National Alignment

The AI transformation vision was conceptualized by Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, who inaugurated the fest on February 9 through a pioneering AI-powered Digital Twin avatar that addressed 10 campuses simultaneously. The initiative was designed to demonstrate leadership embracing technology firsthand.

Speaking on the world record achievement, Dr. Sandeep Pachpande stated:

“This world record was about collective transformation. On a day when the nation celebrates science, ASM celebrated applied science at scale. This was not our destination—it was our foundation. If India is to move confidently toward the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, institutions must nurture capability-builders, not just degree-holders. AI readiness is essential for national progress.”

The initiative aligned with India’s broader technological goals, including the IndiaAI Mission and the Digital India initiative, positioning ASM as a forward-looking institution that responded to national calls with structure and intent.

Moving Toward AI Leadership

The grand finale featured the felicitation of AI Task Forces, institute heads, and faculty leaders who contributed to the coordinated effort. With this milestone, ASM positioned itself among India’s pioneering educational groups that have been systematically institutionalizing AI across academics, research, and administrative processes at scale.
