Mumbai, (Maharashtra) [India] 7th August 2026: A bottle sitting on a store shelf is usually the only part of a personal care product that children see. KT Kids and KidZania India are now opening up what happens before it gets there. The two companies have launched the KT Kids Personal Care Studio at KidZania Mumbai, a role-play experience where children can prepare product samples, work with packaging, arrange displays and understand how inventory is managed. The studio opened on 2 August and will remain at KidZania Mumbai for two years.
The experience has been created around two roles, Display Stylist and Inventory Manager. Children will move through guided tasks linked to product formulation and retail, from putting together a sample to deciding how products should be organised and presented on a shelf. They will not be watching the process from outside. They will be doing the work themselves, making choices along the way and seeing how different people and stages come together before a finished product reaches a family.
The timing is relevant. Children already encounter personal care products at home, online and while shopping with their parents, but the work behind those products is rarely visible to them. Parents, too, are becoming more selective about experiences that can hold a child’s attention while still giving them something useful to take back. The studio turns an everyday category into a practical activity built around curiosity, organisation, teamwork, observation and responsibility, without making appearance or beauty the centre of the conversation.
For KT Kids, which has actor Kareena Kapoor Khan as its brand ambassador, this is not a short mall activation or a launch-day installation. The two-year association gives the brand an ongoing space to meet children and parents through participation. KidZania’s format is built around realistic role-play, with children entering working versions of industries and professions rather than simply seeing brand displays. Its Mumbai centre offers more than 60 role-play activities, while the larger KidZania India platform serves children aged two to sixteen across Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer, KidZania India, said, “At KidZania, our role-play experiences are designed to help children understand how the real world works by placing them at the centre of it. The KT Kids Personal Care Studio brings together creativity, product learning and retail skills in a way that is accessible, engaging and genuinely fun. Children do not simply see a product on a shelf; they discover the thought, teamwork and responsibility involved in formulating, presenting and managing it. We are delighted to welcome KT Kids to KidZania Mumbai and look forward to seeing young families experiment, collaborate and take pride in what they create.”
Dhruv Sayani, Founder, KT Kids, said, “Personal care is something children encounter every day, and we wanted this studio to make them curious about it, not just familiar with it. KT Kids has always stood for products that are clinically tested and mother approved, and this experience lets children discover, in a playful way, the same care and thought that goes into every product before it reaches a shelf. When a child formulates a sample, styles a display or manages inventory, they are learning that imagination and responsibility sit right at the start of something a family later trusts. Our partnership with KidZania brings that idea to life for the next generation.”
The KT Kids Personal Care Studio is now open to families, school groups and other visitors at KidZania Mumbai. Through the two roles, children get a closer look at personal care as a real working category, one that brings product development, packaging, stock management and retail presentation together.
