Gurugram, (Haryana) [India]: Cricketing history was created at the ongoing All India State Bank of India Inter Circle Cricket Tournament as Pragnesh Kanpillewar, opening batsman of SBI Mumbai Metro Circle, delivered a truly extraordinary performance, registering a world-record unbeaten 332 runs off just 82 balls.

Players, officials, and spectators were all mesmerized by Kanpillewar’s incredible innings, which featured an incredible 43 sixes and 15 fours at a strike rate of over 400. His knock helped SBI Mumbai Metro Circle defeat SBI Patna Circle with an incredible 390/3 in 20 overs, the highest team total in T20 cricket history.

He recognized as the “Yuvraj Singh of State Bank of India”, Kanpillewar’s innings was marked by relentless power-hitting. He struck six consecutive sixes in the second over, followed by explosive overs that included 26 runs in the 8th over, 32 runs in the 11th over, and 33 runs in the 15th over, showcasing unmatched dominance and control at the crease. Such was the impact of his long and incredible shots that a total of 27 cricket balls were lost during today’s match.

Pragnesh began playing cricket at the age of five to six, enrolling at Golden Star Cricket Academy, Virar (Maharashtra). He credits Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, his parents, and coach Shri Santosh Pingulkar as key inspirations in his career.

He played his first official match at Cross Maidan, Mumbai at the age of 11 and represented India at the Under-19 international level in England at 17 , an experience that continues to help him perform in high-pressure matches.

Pragnesh follows a disciplined routine of daily practice and self-analysis and aspires to play for the Mumbai senior team, the IPL, and ultimately represent India. He cites Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant as his cricketing idols.
