Pune, (Maharashtra) [India], April 16th, 2025: The spirit of satisfaction, storytelling, and craftsmanship came alive on the evening of April 11th at Baan Tao, Hyatt Pune, as Indri Single Malt in collaboration with The Dram Club (TDC) presented an unforgettable experience — “Feast of Fire & Smoke”, an immersive celebration that brought together the magic of single malts, curated gastronomy, and fantasy.

Far more than a traditional tasting, this event marked a unique collaboration between Indri’s House of Dragon Edition and The Dram Club, inviting guests to embark on a journey where flavour, ambience, and imagination came together.

The venue was very much inviting. Hyatt Pune’s Baan Tao was transformed into a mystical realm inspired by the world of dragons and thrones. From dramatic lighting to themed décor, every detail was meticulously curated to bring the fantasy alive. Live music added to the ambiance, and among all this stood the Iron Throne, a significant symbol of power, attracting guests in for capturing memories.

Guests were encouraged to dress in theme and pledge their allegiance to their chosen house, House of Green or House of Black, through a guided tasting experience designed to show the contrast between the two distinctive whiskies.

The curated menu was a standout feature of the evening specially crafted to reflect the “Feast of Fire & Smoke” theme thoughtfully designed to pair impeccably with each dram.  Each course was designed to evoke the essence of the Houses, amplifying the tasting journey with complementary flavours and textures that mirrored the spirit of the whiskies. The menu added another dimension of storytelling to the experience.

House of Green – The unpeated expression opened with aromas of ripe bananas, vanilla, toffee, and honey. Its palate unfolded into a delicate bouquet of sweet, fruity, floral, and nutty layers, followed by a gentle spiced undertone and a soft, lingering fruity finish.

House of Black – The peated expression brought a bold nose of sweet toffee and creamy vanilla, with hints of subtle peat and dry fruits. The palate offered chocolate, figs, and a light earthiness, ending with a sweet richness and a whisper of lingering peat.

Under the expert guidance of whisky enthusiasts from The Dram Club, guests explored the craftsmanship behind each expression, from nosing techniques to stories of barrels and blending.

As the night unfolded, it wasn’t just about choosing a whisky, it was about choosing a side. #ChooseYourSide became a battle cry, uniting fans and enthusiasts in friendly rivalry, rich conversations, and unforgettable sips.

“Feast of Fire & Smoke” was more than an event; it was a true delight to the Game of Thrones fans and whisky enthusiasts.
