From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, IB Group Leads National Awareness Drive Against 73% Protein Deficiency in India.
28, February 2026:Today on the occasion of World Protein Day, IB Group successfully conducted its nationwide campaign titled “Har Ghar Har Din Chicken Protein”, covering more than 2,500 tehsils across India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari targeting 20 states to raise awareness about the alarming 73% of women and children in India meaning 7 out of every 10 are facing protein deficiency.
The large-scale outreach initiative focused on educating rural and semi-urban communities about the importance of incorporating adequate protein in their daily diets.
As part of the initiative, teams from IB Group actively visitedvillages and tehsils, working closely with Sarpanchs, village leaders, and respected senior members of rural communities. The campaign is specially designed to address nutritional gaps in rural India, where awareness about balanced diets and protein intake often remains limited.
During these sessions, the team educated families about the importance of daily protein intake and explain the recommended protein requirements in simple and practical terms:
- Children: 25–50 grams of protein daily for proper physical growth and brain development.
- Women: 50–60 grams of protein daily to keep immunity and general health strong and to avoid weakness.
- Men should consume 55–70 grams of protein per day to prevent fatigue and maintain energy levels.
In order to encourage families to include protein in their daily diets on a regular basis, special attention will be given to promoting easily accessible and reasonably priced protein sources that can be incorporated into regular meals.
Live chicken recipe demonstrations has also been conducted to show how nutritious meals can be prepared in a simple and cost-effective manner, highlighting that 100 grams of chicken provides nearly 27 grams of high-quality protein, thereby encouraging households across rural India to adopt protein-rich diets as a regular part of their daily routine.
Speaking about the initiative, Bahadur Ali, Managing Director of IB Group, said, “with our ‘Har Ghar Har Din Chicken Protein’ campaign, we aim to take protein awareness to every village and every household across India. Protein deficiency is a serious public health concern, especially among women and children.
