Abante Convenes Gurugram’s Community Leaders to Drive “Communities of Tomorrow”

Focus on Responsible Premises, Green Living and Actionable Sustainability Models

Gurugram, (Haryana) [India] 11 April 2026: Abante Integrated Management Services Private Limited (Abante), one of India’s fastest-growing integrated asset management firms, hosted a high-impact conclave titled “Everyday Nation Builders – Communities of Tomorrow.”

Setting the tone for the conclave, Dr. Arvind Kumar, CEO, Abante, emphasised the urgent need to move from intent to action in building sustainable communities. He introduced Abante’s approach to Green Residential Maintenance and the “100-Metre Adoption Model” — a scalable, community-driven framework that enables RWAs to take ownership of their immediate surroundings and drive visible environmental change, in collaboration with civic bodies and Abante.

The conclave brought together a diverse and influential ecosystem — including municipal leadership, RWAs, estate heads, educators, sustainability practitioners, and community stakeholders — creating a platform for real conversations and solution-oriented outcomes.

Driving Policy, Practice and Partnership

A key highlight of the conclave was the active participation of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), reinforcing the importance of public–community partnerships in advancing sustainable urban living.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Naresh Kumar (HCS), Joint Commissioner, MCG, emphasised the role of citizen-led initiatives and institutional collaboration in achieving city-wide sustainability goals.

From Inspiration to Implementation

A powerful moment at the conclave was the film showcase created by “Social Media Channel Gurus of Gram,” capturing the transformation of Palm Terraces Select, an Abante-managed condominium, into a Zero Discharge community — demonstrating how structured facility management and community participation can deliver measurable environmental outcomes.

The event also featured insights from Dr. Sameer Sharma, Head – EHS, Samsung India, on enabling green lifestyles for zero-carbon premises, bringing a corporate perspective to sustainable living.

From Intent to Impact: Community Voices Lead the Way

A central highlight was the panel discussion on“From Intent to Impact: Making Sustainability Work in Residential Communities.”

Bringing together office bearers, sustainability committee members, and estate heads from leading Gurugram communities — including Payal ChopraThe World Spa, Priyanka Jha – Tata Primanti, Rohtash Mal -Tatvam Villas, Col VS Yadav – The Laburnum, Shveta Paul, Vatika City and Praveen Malik, Royal Greens — the session focused on practical challenges, communication outreach, behavioural change, and the importance of partnerships in driving sustainable practices at scale.

The discussion also saw participation from Dr. Naresh Kumar, Joint Commissioner, MCG, further strengthening the dialogue between communities and civic leadership.

Curated for Impact

The conclave was conceived and curated by Rima Chibb, wholeadsEHS, Sustainability and Communication Outreachat Abante, and also created the film and moderated the panel discussion — seamlessly bringing together voices across communities, institutions, and governance to drive action-led sustainability conversations.

Rima Chibb, Abante, added:

“This platform was designed to bring together the real drivers of our everyday spaces — communities, institutions and civic leadership. As facilities management providers our goal is to enhance the liveability and sustainability of our communities. In that sense we also support the government as Everyday Nation Builders. The focus is simple: move from intent to impact, with practical, actionable solutions that can be implemented on-ground.”

Scaling Sustainability: From Commitment to Execution

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Arvind Kumar, CEO, Abante, said:
“With over 150 communities under our management today, the potential to drive meaningful sustainability impact is immense. As an organisation, we are deeply conscious of this responsibility and are committed to embedding sustainable practices into the everyday functioning of the spaces we manage.”

Adding an on-ground perspective, Afzal Gani, Head – Soft Services, Abante, highlighted the operational realities:

“Implementing 100% waste segregation across all waste streams is a complex and continuous effort. A large part of this involves training housekeeping staff and house-help—often from the basics—through visual aids and ongoing, on-ground guidance. In many societies, space and budget constraints limit on-site composting, and in such cases, we work with MCG-approved alternatives like cloud composting to ensure both compliance and sustainability.”

He further added:

“Abante has been a pioneer in this space, having established a composting plant at World Spa as early as 2014. This initiative has been widely recognised, including an award from the Hon’ble Chief Minister for outstanding waste management practices.”

Towards Responsible Premises and Greener Cities

The conclave underscored a clear shift — from awareness to action — with sustainability increasingly embedded in day-to-day facility management, community behaviour, and institutional decision-making.

Through initiatives such as the 100-metre adoption model, zero discharge communities, and collaborative engagement with civic bodies, Abante continues to enable communities to transition towards responsible premises and greener, more resilient urban ecosystems.

Triotap Technologies Pvt. Ltd.’s CEO, Shri Ravi Trivedi, also participated in the program. He stated that he is pleased that his company is converting Waste into compost and managing Waste water STP plants for Abante across multiple Sites.
